Death The Roses eBook Tara Brown
Ok, from reading Witch and Hyde, I know Ari's talents leave everyone including us readers with serious cases of Deja Vu, so it didn't completely surprise me that Death started out with a sensation of "Hey, I've read this part before..." Luckily I've been reading this whole series, start to finish, these last few days so everything is still fresh in my head and I understood almost immediately what was going on. Or so I thought. There are so many twists, turns, U-turns, circles, back flips, and somersaults in this story I loved it even though it made me exhausted! By the way the story ended I can tell there will be more to come, and HOPEFULLY there will be no more talk of the Aimee-Shane-Aleks ping-pong trifecta because holy hell I am so over that thread in the story!
I think this was a good ending to what looks like a new beginning. Everything- Every single little detail, little thread, and fresh spring-grown branch in the story is completely changed. Nothing is as it was at the beginning, nothing is as it was even in Witch and it is exciting and intriguing to wonder what Tara Brown will come up with next. I hope this ending becomes the beginning to a new series. I hope everyone is reunited and given a chance for closure. That is my only upset with this story. So much carnage, so much pain and loss and no one got to say their goodbyes. I understand that those kinds of events echo real-life circumstances because it's not a perfect world, and not everyone gets their Goodbye. But there was just SO MUCH going on all at once in this story I feel like there needs to be a recovery process. My head is still spinning.
Another thing I noticed were the dynamics between the characters. Was it just me or did everyone seem to be constantly side-tracked by their own romantic agendas throughout the story even though there was pending doom and destruction? And, also, I believe the supernatural condition of the characters has finally gotten to their heads because a lot of their emotions switched from one extreme to another and then back again, so fast that I felt I was seeing things through the eyes of Bipolar ADD & ADHD kids. A few times I wanted to shake one of the characters and shout "Stay focused- PLEASE!"
The author did well- again- and i will definitely recommend this series and this book to friends and family. Good read =) Entertaining to the last.

Death The Roses eBook Tara Brown Reviews
I'm notorious for reading books quickly. I can't help but read Tara's books speedy since they are always intriguing and draw me in. This book, like the others in the series, was great. My issue with it is there was SO much information in one book and it there were quite a few typos. Pronouns were switched around and even names were mistakenly written. Combine that with all of Tara's wonderful imagination and it was a bit of a cluster ball. If I were her I would have either cut half the story and written more in-depth on some key points or split the book into two different books. Since this book wasn't written that way I will be reading and rereading this book again to make sure my brain can process Tara's genius.
Why can’t Aimee make a choice and stick with it? She switched between Aleks and Shane in every book so far. It’s getting kind of annoying. But I love it every time Ari pushes someone back that changes their history together. I’m always surprised at the outcome and this time was no exception.
I felt like the Roses were falling apart more and more with each book. Lorri is supposed to be on the good side but I can’t help feeling she’s doing stuff for her own agenda and not for the greater good. She has no trouble sacrificing others to get what she wants.
People were turning to the dark side and new romances were sparkling where there was hatred before. Dorian sacrificing himself for Aimee was a surprise. And here was Aimee again not knowing who she loves.
All shit broke loose in this book. Everyone started dying one way or another and the rest of them tried to salvage the situations but made it even worse.
I read this one, then HAD to read the rest of the series. Tara Brown is a good writer, but wish I had read one of her other series, as by the time I've finished all of ‘Cursed’, I almost feel psychotic. I’m sure she felt that way herself by the end of this series. Makes you wish she had killed off Ari quickly.
This series is a little to mature for YA, but a little too YA for mature readers. That aside, it is also compelling and Ms Brown and her editors are to be commended for being able to keep the various storylines straight. This is the ultimate book series for fans of “Do-Overs’. Some of the main characters in each story are a little light and not fleshed out really well.
Now I have to go read her ‘Light’ series. If I like that one, then I will purchase the next step of this series, which is ‘Redeemers’. Right now I need a break from do-over Ari, confused Aimie, horrible Hanna and mean-girl Giselle.
Go ahead, read the free first book -You’ll get hooked, just like I did.
Holy s...uccubus! Death is just as unpredictable as the rest of the series, and has lots of excitement. There really is a lot going on in this book. I love the different perspectives, as this story is told from many character's POV. The only problem about that for me, while reading this on a weekend, I was often distracted by my kids. Then when I get back in the middle of the chapter, I had to figure out who's POV it was. Even sometimes when not distracted I had to check if I was reading Ari or Aimee.
This book isn't really the end of the series. It's not a major cliffhanger like the prior books, but there is more to come in Redeemers and Betrayers. At first, because I didn't realize that it wasn't a true conclusion, it was dissapointing. However, I really enjoyed this series so much, I'm looking forward to there being more.
